313 verses. 62 surahs. One thread through time.

Every verse that shares the root, set in the approximate order of revelation. This is not every verse about mercy, and a shared root does not mean an identical meaning.

Act IV of VIHow Q19 knows

Four layers. Never blended.

A count, a source and an interpretation are different things. Here is one verse taken apart, with the label each layer carries everywhere in Q19.

Al-A’raf 156

قَالَ عَذَابِىٓ أُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَنْ أَشَآءُ ۖ وَرَحْمَتِى وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ

“…My grace overspreads everything…”

In the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Moses and his chosen seventy men, Moses petitions God to ordain goodness in this world and the hereafter, acknowledging their repentance. God responds by distinguishing between His chastisement, which He applies as He wills, and His mercy, which encompasses all things.

No. Q19 reads the text linguistically and historically, beside contemporary readings from books and lectures. Every reading is attributed and kept apart from the text.
